Background
Exelgen, based in Bude, Cornwall, UK, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Commonwealth Biotechnologies, Inc. of Richmond, Virginia. Established in 1997, we rapidly developed our successful LeadQuest® compound libraries. We have have recently launched Volume 4, following on from the success of Volumes 0-3. We also offer LeadScreen™ screening libraries for rapid, economical screening, and LeadSelect™, a new approach to de novo compound libraries made to our customers' specification.
Exelgen’s world-leading computational molecular design and analysis software has been fully integrated into our state of the art, purpose built high throughput chemistry facility, from which we offer successful knowledge driven drug discovery services.
Additionally, we have applied our world class medicinal chemistry expertise to generate higher value and supplement our offerings by adopting an active in- and out-licensing strategy particularly directed at GPCR and kinase targets. The intention is to develop novel clinical candidates and ultimately proof-of-concept candidates for our partners with pre-emption rights agreed at the outset.
